This bonus track features Florinda Bryant! I am honored to say that I have worked with Florinda since 1998. During our conversation Florinda talks about tending not only to her art, and her communities, but to her own mental, physical, spiritual health. We talk about writing, sound, gesture (and more) as it relates to theatrical jazz…feeling and hearing how to enter and move the work forward, and getting free. Florinda encourages us to look up…receive energy from above and around in those moments of not being able to be clear or trust yourself, “look up so that you can get what you need to trust yourself and move forward. Florinda Bryant is an award winning interdisciplinary artist, activist and educator – a Texas gurl who calls Austin home. As a performer and director, she has worked with Salvage Vanguard Theater, the Rude Mechs, the Vortex, Paper Chairs, Theater en Bloc and Teatro Vivo in Austin, TX and the Ensemble Theater in Houston, Texas.
